Allantoin

Naturally occurring in Comfrey, soothes skin and stimulates healthy normal skin tissue formation.


Alpha Bisabolol

Alpha-Bisabolol is a major constituent of German Chamomile (Matricaria recutita) essential oil however, commercially, Alpha-bisabolol is distilled from the oil of the Candeia plant. It is non-toxic and non-irritating to the skin and has been shown to have anti-inflammatory and wound healing properties. It also shows anti-microbial activity, particularly against certain fungi.


Ascorbyl Palmitate (Vitamin C)

Helps restore smooth surface to aging skin. Powerful anti-oxidant, free radial scavenger, and stabliser. Essential nutrient in the formation of collagen.


Avocado (Prunis Gratissima)

Nourishing, emollient, restoring & soothing. High in natural Vitamins A & D, Lecithin & Potassium.


Blackcurrant

High in Anti-oxidant properties, esp vitamin C.


Burdock Root (Articum Lappa)

Anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties.


Bamboo

For gentle exfoliation/buffing.


Calendula (Calendula Officinalis)

Camellia (Camelia Oleifera)

Rich in anti-oxidants, which destroy cancer-causing free radicals.


Caprylic/capric Triglyceride (Fr. coconut)

derived from coconut & glycerine, widely known as Fractionated Coconut Oil; an emollient.


Carrot

Rich in beta-carotene, it’s orange colour may fade due to UV sensitivity.


Cedarwood (Cedrus Atlantica)

Anti-inflammatory.


Cetearyl Alcohol

Emollient, thickener, derived from coconut fatty alcohol.


Chamomile (Matricaria Chamomilla)

Anti-inflammatory, calming, soothing.


CoEnzyme Q10

A fat-soluble vitamin like substance, combined with Vitamin E. This coenzyme is vital to the production of energy within skin cells, and helps support the bodys' natural defences against the damaging effects of free radicals. Can help with cell turnover and reduce the depth of wrinkles due to photo-aging.


Cucumber (Cucumis)

Cooling, soothing, reduces puffiness.


D-panthenol (Vitamin B5)

Potent moisturiser, softens the skin. Soothes, anti-inflammatory, and promotes cell turnover.


Echinacea

Reputed to have anti-tumor, anti-virus properties. Stimulates the immune system and heals wounds.


Ethylhexylglycerine

A preservative enhancer derived from vegetable glycerin used to help prevent bacterial and mould degradation in skin care products


German Chamomile (Anthemis Nobilis)

Anti-spasmodic, sedative properties.


Ginseng - (Panax Ginseng)

Reduces inflammation. Activates cell metabolism. Reputed to delay signs of aging.

A plant sourced humectant, derived from coconut.


Glyceryl Stearate

Made from stearic acid and glycerin, used as a co-emulsifier.


Gotu-Kola (Centella Asiatica)

Improves tensile strength of skin, stimulates collagen synthesis, regenerating, vitalising and healing.


Green Tea (Camellia Sinensis)

Strong anti-oxidant, destroys free-radical. Reduces swelling.


Hibiscus (Hibiscus Rosa-sinensis)

Improves skin flexibility and elasticity, increases moisture levels, anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory.


Hyaluronic Acid

A naturally occurring polysaccharide (large sugar molecule) compound within the human body. We use one produced from bi-products of the bacterial fermentation of Corn, Wheat and Yeast Extract. It is a powerful moisturizer & humectant, provides smoothness & softening to the skin, hydrating to give a softening effect on wrinkles, promotes growth of new skin cells after peelings, supports wound healing. Biotechnologically produced from glucose, soy peptone & yeast extract (does not contain any animal products). Responsible for tissue hydration, lubrication, & tissue stability, holds 1000 times its own weight of water.

Iris (Iris Florentina)

Increase moisture retention, stimulating, regenerating, refines.


Immortelle (Helichrysum/everlast)

Traditionally been used for its anti-inflammatory, cell-regenerating, pain reducing, calming, uplifting proparties. Used in skin care products for its skin-rejuvenating properties and its soothing effects on sensitive and inflamed skin.


Jasmine (Jasminum Officinale)

Anti-depressant, relaxant, sensual, soothing, calming.


Jojoba (Simmondsia chinensis)

Feels like natural skin sebum, absorbs well, softening.


Jojoba Beads

Lactic Acid

A type of AHA, derived from milk after a steady process of fermentation. It helps to improve skin texture, reduce fine lines, wrinkles & age spots. It hydrates, exfoliates, softens, stimulates collagen production within skin cells, is an antibacterial agent, helps prevent photo-aging (premature skin aging as a result of sun exposure. It is gentle for sensitive, oily, acneic skin and rosacea patients.


Lavender (Lavendula Angustifolia)

Anti-septic, anti-inflammatory, balancing, calming, soothing, relaxing.


Lotus (Nelumbo Nucifer)

Calming, soothing, awakening, anti-aging, repairing, restoring, exotic.


Manuka (Leptospermum Scoparium)

Anti-microbial, anti-bacterial.


Marine Algae

Microalgae derived from "nannochloropsis oculata" combined with a polysaccharide. Used as a skin tightener by strengthening skins' connective tissue. Is also known to stimulate natural collagen and protect human fibroblasts from oxidative stress.


MeadowFoam (Limnanthes Alba)

Potent natural anti-oxidant, skin softener, helps prevent moisture loss.


Milk Thistle (Silybum Marianam)

Exhibits anti-oxidant properties.


Multi-Fruit AHA (AHA)

Compound made from the extracts of Bilberry, Orange, Lemon, & Sugars. Alpha hydroxy acids (AHA's) work mainly as an exfoliant. They cause the cells of the epidermis to become "unglued" allowing the dead epidermal skin cells to slough off, making room for regrowth of new skin.

Panthenol (Vitamin B5)

Used in beauty products primarily as a lubricant, emollient and moisturizer because of its ability to penetrate the skin, providing both with lubrication and hydration.


Patchouli (Pogostemon patchouli)

Balancing, calming.


Pomegranate (Punica Granatum)

Nourishing, balancing, restorative, simulates collagen production.


Potassium Sorbate

The potassium salt of sorbic acid, primarily used is as a food preservative (E number 202) – a popular alternative to paraben.


Phenoxyethanol

An organic chemical compound. Combined with Capric Caprylic Triglyceride and d-Alpha Tocopherol it is known as Rose Ether, and used as a preservative.


Red Clover (Trifolium Pratense)

Speeds healing, anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory, soothes.


Retinyl Palmitate (Vitamin A)

Nourishes the skin, counteracts inflammations and protect cell membrane (& other structures within cells) form damage caused by free-radials.

Sclerotium Gel

A thickener derived from the yeast grown on a glucose sugar culture, known as a polysaccharide gel.


Sodium Stearoyl Glutamate

Emulsifier derived from coconut and amino acids. It has skin-caring properties which help to maintain a good skin condition and is permitted for use in certified natural cosmetics. According to the Cosmetic Database, it is an organic compound used in foundation, sunscreen, spf products, concealer, anti-aging products, facial cleansers and moisturizers.


Strawberry (Fragaria Vesca)

Cleansing, purifying, clarifying. Useful for problematic skins.

Squalane (Derived from Olive)

A light emollient which is fast becoming popular due to its ability to absorb deeply and quickly.


Tocopherol (Vitamin E)

A mix of d-Alpha Tocopherol (natural) and tocopherol (synthetic). A strong anti-oxidant protects the skin from damaging effects of reactive oxygen radicals (free-radicals) and UV rays. Promotes wound healing and improves the surface of the skin. Works to retard rancidity in cream emulsions containing with natural oils.


White Willow (Salix Alba)

Contains salicylic acid and enhances cell turnover. Exhibits anti-microbial activity.
